GTA franchise has always portrayed life on the dark side, yet what would happen if that role were switched?

Well, fans will get exactly that with The Precinct from Fallen Tree Games; and it looks to be lots of fun indeed!

The Precinct is an isometric neon-noir game similar to GTA titles from years gone by that places players as Officer Nick Cordell Jr, fresh out of training academy and on duty protecting Averno citizens as an outlaw thug. According to its official description, The Precinct allows gamers to step into his shoes.

Jump into an adrenaline-charged world of thrilling car chases, procedurally generated crimes and 1980s noir as you safeguard the populace and solve the mystery behind your father’s murder in Averno as part of your duty as you respond to crimes as they arise – responding as soon as an act occurs or callout arrives – responding swiftly as it happens in order to save the day from criminals both small and powerful alike if needed by patrolling streets, responding callouts for crimes that occur or responding quickly with helicopter assistance or roadblocks/spike strips etc if things escalate out of control callout backup and it will appear quickly enough.

At present, The Precinct does not yet have an exact release date but we do know that it will launch for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We can only hope that its potential is realized as seen in its announcement trailer and we receive more definitive release date details in due time.

However, in an unrelated move an industry analyst predicts Grand Theft Auto 6 could gross $1 billion during its initial week of release.
