Starfield may only recently have hit stores, yet already fans are being dazzled by Bethesda’s expansive sci-fi RPG.

Bethesda revealed Starfield to the world at E3 2018; even without seeing actual gameplay yet, its concept alone generated plenty of enthusiasm among gamers worldwide. After all, who wouldn’t love Elder Scrolls meets Fallout combined in space?! Count us in.

Unfortunately, Starfield experienced multiple delays. While delays might appear detrimental at first, oftentimes these setbacks end up helping the game rather than hinder it; fans usually receive upgrades rather than downgrades in Starfield. As evidenced in Reddit comparison screenshots depicting one location from 2022-2023 can tell us this much-improved visual version was showcased via Starfield Direct event this time.

“The changes to New Atlantis are absolutely mind-boggling! Last year I complained here in threads when first seeing it with its oversaturated-looking filter which darkened its shadows,” noted Redditor Best-Lavishness-1059. Now “it looks just like concept art!”

“Even though I hated the delay at first, it was absolutely worth it – looks much better now!” stated Flow390 at a recent showcase event. Furthermore, gameplay also saw improvements; “Gunplay looks soooooo much better!” responded JDaprile18.

Starfield stands to become Xbox’s flagship first-party title this fall and, following Redfall’s rough launch process, fans will hope it doesn’t let them down too badly.

At Bethesda’s showcase event recently, it was also revealed that Starfield would feature Bethesda’s largest city ever constructed and over 1,000 planets for players to discover and discover together in space. However, some concerns were voiced regarding Starfield only performing at 30fps performance levels.

Starfield will launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S on 6 September 2023; additionally it will debut day one via Xbox Game Pass.
