Campaign started by desperate gamers for exclusive PS5 Starfield usage fails spectacularly
Of all the heartbreaks imaginable, few things top discovering that an exciting game that you desperately wish you could play won’t ever release on any platform you own. Even worse is discovering an exclusive title which won’t ever see release anywhere else and instead requires watching all its amazing trailers roll out knowing that you won’t ever join in the fun yourself.
Today is no doubt being felt by many regarding Bethesda’s Starfield RPG from Bethesda Entertainment, an epic space-exploration RPG only being available on Xbox Series X/S and PC at launch date in September – forcing those on other consoles to miss out. While similar cases like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or God of War Ragnarok also released exclusively on Switch or PS4/PS5 respectively are rarely a cause for complaint, some gamers have launched petitions in an effort to try get Starfield onto Sony console… exclusively
As reported by DualShockers, a petition began on Change.org last week and has already garnered 872 signatures from supporters. According to its creator, Xbox and its 12 dedicated players do not deserve Starfield as exclusive game, adding: “Unless you wish for Starfield to fail and turn into even greater chaos – YOU MUST have it on PlayStation.”
Even if this petition gathered thousands of signatures, Bethesda wouldn’t change its plans and bring the game exclusively to PS5, regardless of what supporters signifying in comments to support this cause. Furthermore, most signatures appear to simply sign as jokes; only some actually support it seriously as evidenced in comments found within its “reasons for signing” section.
