Originaly released in 2021, Inscryption is a roguelike deck-building game first published by Digital Arts Studios and later revised for PCs by THQ Nordic in 2025. When players awake in an isolated cabin and find themselves forced into playing an unknown card game called “Inscryption”, secrets about themselves begin revealing themselves gradually as you play further into this roguelike. While deck building may sound dull compared to psychological horror or escape room titles.

On Metacritic, Incryption has an impressive PS5 score of 87 and an excellent user score of 8.55; many Redditors recommended playing it, such as MojoPinnacle who wrote: “Inscryption should definitely be included on any list for card game lovers!” and Iludear who suggested: “Incryption cannot come highly recommended enough! Although my usual genre choices differ significantly – give Inscryption a chance. You won’t regret it!”

User zmatt123 shared his opinion: “I can vouch for that statement; never had I experienced such an engaging game and am now fully convinced it will not recur again!”
