Are You Wondering If Assassin’s Creed Mirage Will Come To Game Pass?
Followers of Assassin’s Creed know fans have long asked Ubisoft for it to return to its legendary formula seen in titles like Assassin’s Creed II. Now it appears Ubisoft may finally have heard them; with stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed Mirage soon arriving on Xbox Game Pass?
Mirage takes place during 9th-century Baghdad during Samarra anarchy and follows familiar character, Basim Ibn Ishaq from Valhalla. While Origins and Odyssey focused more on open world RPG aspects, Mirage opts for linear gameplay by decreasing role playing elements.
Ubisoft could make Mirage even more tantalizing for series fans by making its release compatible with Xbox Game Pass – could we see Mirage appear there or will this installment of Assassin’s Creed follow the series’ longstanding release pattern and see an immediate drop-in release instead?
Origins and Odyssey weren’t featured on Game Pass at launch day, but eventually found their way onto the library. Mirage may follow in their footsteps but is certainly not scheduled as an initial release – Valhalla (released more than three years ago) still hasn’t made its debut onto Game Pass yet! Nonetheless, Ubisoft+ subscribers will get this game early as an exclusive title!
As much as it disappoints Xbox players, Mirage not being included on Game Pass may come as bad news; nevertheless, its release across modern and last-generation consoles excluding Switch is nonetheless very widespread and even coming to Amazon Luna – Amazon’s cloud gaming service launched back in March 2022!
Mirage takes its cue from Unity and Syndicate by featuring assassination missions that send players exploring Baghdad’s districts for targets to kill – made easier thanks to Mirage reducing map size for greater ease.
As part of his induction into the Brotherhood, Basim will acquire many cool gadgets – from his iconic Hidden Blade to throwing knives and poison darts – all featuring skill trees of upgrades and unlockable status effects. Mirage introduces “Assassin Focus”, giving Basim more opportunity to strike fear into those that haven’t noticed him — similar to “Assassin Bullet Time”.
On October 12th 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One Series X & S and Luna platforms as Basim’s “coming-of-age story”.
