Destiny 2 Is Integrating Heavy Burst Hand Cannon
Bungie recently provided its response to Destiny 2 community members regarding its sandbox environment; one question posed concerned hand cannons’ current state.
Bungie didn’t provide an explicit response when asked by press about whether hand cannons will get any additional upgrades, although an update in Season 20 did offer increased damage; however, hand cannons remain inadequate in PVE content. At present, Bungie is testing increased reload speeds as well as increasing damage against red-bar enemies by 20% while increasing it against orange-bar enemies by 75% – all factors to keep an eye on!
As part of its post, Bungie unveiled a new category of hand cannons called “heavy burst hand cannons,” featuring two-round burst firing. Warden’s Law Legendary hand cannon introduced in Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Warden of Nothing Nightfall strike will be the inaugural weapon to join this subcategory; its Double Fire intrinsic trait already allows impactful twin firing rounds; however Bungie believes its heavy burst version would more pleasantly satisfy players; currently it remains at Power level 1060 until such time when its return; details regarding when exactly this version can return are yet unknown.
Bungie promises that an upcoming season will include updates for both hand cannons and glaives that make them “more satisfying to use, particularly in PvP,” according to them. Bungie further explained that updates would likely involve changes like how players activate Exotic perks as well as some other adjustments pertaining to these weapon class-specific weapons that were acquired through lengthy questlines but fell short in meeting expectations; Exotic updates “could include things such as changing how activation of Exotic perk occurs along with some other adjustments.”
