Destiny 2 Update Addresses Ghosts of Deep Cheese
Ghosts of the Deep is Destiny 2’s latest dungeon, released alongside Season of the Deep. Players quickly found ways around its final boss fight; however, Bungie quickly issued the 7.1.0.2 patch to address this exploit.
Bungie announced it has “fixed an issue where players could damage bosses in Ghosts of the Deep using immunity shields”, according to their post on it. This loophole allowed players to attack Simmumah ur-Nokru from Lucent Hive Wizard while still immune prior to initiating combat with him; since Simmumah would often get preoccupied performing Hive magic on Hive Ghosts anyways, using cheese effectively defeating him using this method was extremely effective at defeating this final boss!
For cheese damage to work effectively, fireteam members would assemble together and have one player use the Witherhoard Exotic grenade launcher against Simmumah; when damage was dealt to her character they sacrificed themselves and had another revive them immediately; this initiated cheese damage phase; thereafter entire fireteam could attack Simmumah while one person continuously fired Witherhoard shots against her.
After defeating the boss, players would unleash the chest by crushing a Hive Ghost afterward and defeating its mechanicals – this process may cause extensive and repetitive damage, yet avoid getting chased away from by several Lucent Moths out to capture Guardians.
Bungie detailed several significant updates with its 7.1.0.2 patch update, such as Exotic armor fixes, the Last Wish weapons Deepsight pattern progress farm, and Exotic Engram rewards from weekly challenges.
