As one would expect from a player base who creates mods giving you access to things such as riding around on Shreddy the Deathclaw or sending Sole Survivor on Legend of Zelda-themed missions, the Fallout community boasts some amazing individuals.

Recently, several vault dwellers have utilized their talents to raise money for charity by working together on creating an enormous mod during one marathon streaming session or organizing an Appalachia Pride parade through Fallout 76’s Appalachia region.

Some players excel at coming up with innovative new strategies for making Fallout more engaging, such as one streamer’s current run that features restrictions to ensure his playthrough remains enjoyable and challenging.

Have you ever attempted playing through Fallout 4 without leaving its roads? Twitch and YouTube personality Joov has done exactly this with some audience-submitted quests in Skyrim as well as 24 hours playing Fallout 4’s toughest survival mod (amassing over 200 deaths!).

After recovering from their recent humiliation at Skyrim early last year, they’ve returned to The Commonwealth with renewed gusto in order to engage in another challenge: never setting foot outside the network of highways and streets that span most of its map.

At the outset of their initial stream of the run, they acknowledged their limits would prevent them from saving all settlements in the game and saving Preston Garvey; their goal would instead be reaching Hangman’s Alley as soon as possible in order to set up base.

Dogmeat joined them, traveling a substantial distance during this first session and over 19 hours since. Recently, during another five-hour run stream they took on Automatron DLC and hit level 18.

They attempted to transform Hangman’s Alley into the commerce hub of The Commonwealth by amassing enough junk supplies for them to construct a Mac and Cheese-producing machine at Hangman’s Alley.

Given Joov has admitted this run is their favourite Fallout 4 challenge run so far, when its next iteration arrives it should definitely make for interesting viewing.
