Rockstar Could Have New Game Under Development In Addition To Grand Theft Auto 6
Rockstar Games, developer of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption 2, may have something new planned beyond Grand Theft Auto 6. Their last original project to come to market, Red Dead Redemption 2, garnered rave reviews from critics while breaking sales records and winning numerous awards, so many fans eagerly anticipate its sequel.
Rockstar Entertainment’s next project will be Grand Theft Auto 6, set for release sometime between 2024-2025. While few official details about Grand Theft Auto 6 have been made available by Rockstar so far, massive leaks suggest it will take place in Vice City with two protagonists as its focus. Meanwhile fans eagerly anticipate information regarding Grand Theft Auto 6. But while fans wait patiently for its announcement there may also be another project worth getting excited for in 2024-2025!
Voice Actor Michael Ursu’s resume indicates he may be working on an unannounced Rockstar game; however, there’s little else known. Ursu only revealed it’s an unknown virtual reality project which might include adaptation of one of its big IP or possibly being an all-new venture entirely.
One possibility worth noting is Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR port announced for Meta Quest. Fans have yet to witness its action but don’t anticipate that new voice lines need be recorded based on what has been released thus far since initial announcement; also worth keeping in mind is that Video Games Deluxe, who developed L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files., are leading development of this VR port of San Andreas.
L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files was an ambitious experiment in virtual reality which translated several cases from L.A. Noire onto virtual reality headsets, garnering mostly positive reviews from critics. A similar approach may be taken with San Andreas VR; we shall see.
Rockstar fans now have something exciting to look forward to beyond Grand Theft Auto 6, be it something totally fresh as hinted by this resume or perhaps something as announced like San Andreas VR port is still unknown.
