Bethesda RPG enthusiasts who’ve invested thousands of hours into both Skyrim and Fallout 4 cannot wait for Starfield, scheduled for release September 6.

Interstellar adventurers gained valuable information regarding what awaits them on their trip through this month’s Starfield Direct event, from Adoring Fan statues and surprising value sandwiches, to even ships equipped with “rage quit buttons.”

While some have been trying to assess the size and scope of planets or which version will require physical disc purchase, one group on Reddit have taken it upon themselves to predict what their first in-game deaths might look like.

How long do you anticipate living before being killed for the first time in Starfield?
They recently shared these mordant thoughts in a thread on subreddit r/starfield, started by user apexanimo_ and inviting would-be astronauts to describe scenarios they believe will prove fatal for early exploration efforts into space.

As one can expect given the vast scope of Bethesda’s previous works and their ample opportunities for death, interstellar travellers in Thread were capable of creating many possible ways of perish.

On their list was an array of scenarios such as underestimating the damage inflicted from falling, something many fans agreed will become increasingly common with the game’s boost pack, accidentally antagonising an entire city full of NPCs or using explosives too recklessly.

Others developed more specific plans tied to the setting, with user Invested_Glory suggesting flying into one of those system stars “to further science,” and MrKain admitting they’ll likely die while fulfilling their “need to find out if I can pet alien animals”.

Two individuals announced their intentions of interstellar streaking, with user svrgnctzn stating: “I plan on streaking without wearing an interstellar spacesuit so as to witness death animation!”
