PS5 owners now can enjoy an exclusive Assassin’s Creed/Dark Souls crossover game called Ghost Of Tsushima that only runs on PS5.
Imagine if we combined the worlds of Assassin’s Creed and Dark Souls along with Ghost of Tsushima into one incredible video game? Now THAT would make for some interesting viewing!
Well, Team Ninja developers set out to do just that with Rise of the Ronin. First unveiled at State of Play 2022 and made available as a single-player action RPG game, Rise of the Ronin is produced by the same team responsible for Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty so its legacy speaks for itself.
Rise of the Ronin is set during Japan’s 19th-century Edo period and depicts: – Boshin war between Tokugawa Shogunate factions dissatisfied with western influence after Japan reopened after Sakoku period.” As its setting challenges even veterans of Soulsborne games with its skill requirements.
Reports by DSOgaming via Reddit indicate that Rise of the Ronin will draw upon elements from not only Nioh and Dark Souls but also Assassin’s Creed and Ghost of Tsushima for inspiration.
Rise of the RoninI is inspired by recent RPG titles like Assassin’s Creed and Soulsborne with similar side-quest, skill, and ability implementation systems, but without as many sidequests or abilities to learn about. Furthermore, Rise of RoninI will offer its own version of Ghost of Tsushima-themed combat that may feel familiar from Soulsborne with romance options for players seeking some authentic Japanese romance! Get ready for some samurai McLovin!
Rise of the Ronin is also showing its skill tree and map off early, which reminds one of an AAA Ubisoft release. We can only hope that its map won’t feature typical Ubisoft clutter; perhaps towers await ascending? Only time will tell.
Rise of the Ronin is scheduled for release for PC and PlayStation 5 sometime during early 2024 according to leaked screenshots and speculation; however, take any unconfirmed reports with caution until proven otherwise.
