Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 fans have shared which classic weapons they would like to see back into play in Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty boasts an expansive arsenal that spans across various eras of history. Weaponry such as Modern Warfare 2’s M4 assault rifle or Vanguard/World at War’s MP40 submachine gun always seems to find their place into new releases of Call of Duty.
As Season 4 Reloaded approaches launch, fans continue to discuss what makes Infinity Ward so difficult and frustrating, while community members report encountering an Operator levitation bug that affects gameplay.
Players have recently shared which iconic weapons from previous Call of Duty titles they wish would appear in future multiplayer seasons of multiplayer play.
Which classic weapons would you like to see return in Modern Warfare 2? A recent Reddit post from user yo— raises this very topic: they ask users “Which weapons would you like added into MW2?” while including an image of 2019’s Modern Warfare and their FR 5.56 assault rifle as an example.
As expected, several Call of Duty fans got involved and proposed weapons they believe the developer should add. One player specifically mentioned “G36C – it has been missing for quite sometime”. Another fan suggested “Kar98k.”
The G36C debuted in Call of Duty 4, while Kar98k first made an appearance back in Modern Warfare 1. Judging by fan sentiment analysis, both weapons would likely bring immense satisfaction back before any heavy rumoured Modern Warfare 3 launch date.
Notable weapons in Warzone history include the semiautomatic FAL assault rifle and Grau 5.56, both once dominating its meta during Verdansk era.
No word from Infinity Ward on whether they plan on adding classic weapons so close to the end of Modern Warfare 2 cycle; but we hope there is still hope as developers often listen to community feedback if anything like FAMAS makes its comeback! We would certainly welcome its return!
