Just recently, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag received a massive free update with many changes and improvements.
The mystery surrounding Assassin’s Creed Black Flag continues. Days after online speculation surfaced suggesting Ubisoft might be working on a remake, the game received a substantial update via Ubisoft Connect and Steam with seemingly unknown modifications; though download sizes seem substantial enough, no details regarding what has changed are known about.
Rumour has it, Ubisoft may be working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag as one of 11 titles said to be in development; insiders have even teased that Project Nebula could take place across India, Aztec Empire, Mediterranean area. Next on our calendar however is Assassin’s Creed Mirage due for release later in 2018 which boasts one of the smallest map sizes seen thus far but let’s return back to Black Flag update for now.
Reddit user Old-Interaction780 first noted the update when they wrote, “Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag patch on Steam [was] 2.6GB, I wonder what [it was for and] why was so large.” BenSF93 later responded with, “Just got 500MB update through Ubisoft Connect which forces only windowed mode playability!”
However, TheLastArchmage noted that Steam often makes backend updates that do not impact gameplay at all. Unfortunately this statement did not convince fellow players given Black Flag is currently trending and it has never occurred with other Assassin’s Creed titles before now.
Ezio Auditore will soon return in Assassin’s Creed Nexus, while free-to-play version Codename Jade recently opened a call for playtesters – so much to look forward to! There’s so much on offer.
