Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 audio glitch creates havoc during Shipment match
As players have experienced in Modern Warfare 2, players logging on have encountered all manner of game-breaking bugs and glitches; Infinity Ward have tried hard, yet new issues continue to pop up despite these efforts.
As attention shifts toward Season 4 Reloaded update, one issue facing fans involves a weapon blueprint which causes crashes. Meanwhile, community members have shared which classic weapons they would love to see return as multiplayer options.
Recent issues related to audio can result in players not hearing action on Shipment map.
Reddit user Roast-Chook discovered a Modern Warfare 2 audio glitch which interrupts Shipment. As revealed by Reddit user Roast-Chook, this glitch causes in-game audio to suddenly stop while an unearthly, reverberant noise eerily interrupts gameplay.
As it seems the glitch is widespread, with multiple other players reporting it while darting between shipping containers. One player reported: “Happened to me once on Shipment but no idea why.
Another fan found humor in their situation, writing: “Oh wowzas! I didn’t realize we were doing a War of the Worlds collab!” Call of Duty has proven itself adept at crossing genres with partnerships in past titles; such an initiative with War of the Worlds could hold immense promise for fan enjoyment.
Modern Warfare 2 players aren’t alone when it comes to experiencing broken audio; Warzone players also report this phenomenon: one Warzone player noted: “Had that happen midway through my Warzone match and it is truly awful.
The exact source of this mysterious audio issue remains a puzzle, though given it impacts Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone players it seems likely there’s an issue with its engine. We expect Infinity Ward will fix this soon in an update.
