Are You, Traveler? Hello. This is Ada-1 here!
Each week I offer shaders to Guardians as I sell shaders from my glorified loom to them. How did I come to be here, Traveler? After I survived the Collapse and managed the Black Armory for centuries until its restoration by Vanguard, and now operating this glorified loom primarily to sell Guardians who need help pimping up their outfits before killing another god or two!
Do not misunderstand me: I appreciate everything the Guardians have done for me – restarting Forges, producing new weapons with them was incredible, while just recently hearing of Izanagi’s Burden being used by fireteams to take down newly revived Disciples of Witness – yet is this my destiny to watch these battles rage without intervening?
Why doesn’t Vanguard investigate? Last I heard, they were busy on Neptune researching some sort of “Strand” Darkness power; though not as an advocate against Lightbearers as such; perhaps our biggest challenge lies elsewhere? Witness has caused havoc across multiple cities, taking hostages while being completely invisible for weeks now – why haven’t they found its location yet?
Young me would likely welcome this turn of events with open arms; we relied too heavily upon you, our mysterious unspeaking god, during the Collapse when warlords emerged as warlords to defend the Hive against attack from enemy warlords; your creation of Warlords during Collapse gave Hive its Light! But now, after seeing so much uncertainty around me these days, your symbolism provides many with something certain they can rally behind and use you as something solid to rally behind despite what lies ahead of us all!
Amanda Holliday died while trying to rescue witnesses of the Witness, which is heartbreaking. I did not know her well but can feel how deeply her absence affects those living at Tower. Why was Amanda even on that mission in the first place? With an army full of immortal superhumans available and all. Perhaps Amanda felt similarly, wanting more participation so as not just watching from a distance any longer but learning from her example as I move forward on my mission for justice against this organization?
Now I stay put, in the Tower Annex opposite that fool still running his Gambit all these years later. I supervise a loom and provide Guardians with armor pieces; less often now since Vanguard revamped all armor modification process (taking that job from me too), yet there remains something inspiring in ensuring they look worthy as they race into battle or stride across Tower grounds.
Anyway, this week I have the Genotypenull-Zero, Echoes of Io and War Cult Scheme shaders on offer. Sometimes I still think about Lakshmi; she just couldn’t adapt quickly enough with changing times; hopefully that won’t happen this time around!
