Starfield PC specifications have been made public, including high-performance devices that will give players an immersive intergalactic experience.

Bethesda will soon release Starfield, their long-awaited new IP from years past, exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms – something some PlayStation fans are trying to change through an unsuccessful petition drive.

Xbox players will experience some restrictions to their version, such as being locked at 30 FPS to ensure graphical fidelity; PC users however have more leeway in terms of game performance; they were recently provided with information regarding what specs must be met to fully unlock its potential as an open-space exploration game.

AMD has broken Starfield PC performance into three distinct tiers for players to compare: Heroic/1080p, Epic/1440p and Legendary/4K, with recommendations as to which CPU they need in order to unlock those graphics settings:

1080P Resolution AMD Ryzen(tm) 5 7600 CPU with AMD Radeon RX 7600 GPU

1440p resolution display supported with AMD Ryzen(tm) 7 7700X CPU and AMD Radeon RX 6800 Series GPU.

4K Resolution Performance Comparison Between AMD RyzenTM 7 7800X3D CPU & AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU

Coincidently, Starfield will soon be included with AMD CPU bundles as a free download – so if you’re an PC gamer looking for the ultimate experience from their game or simply seeking new CPU hardware this offer might appeal to you.

However, these specifications should not be seen as definitive; Steam’s product page for Starfield lists many additional details which might prove more manageable and affordable for interested players.

Starfield promises to be Bethesda’s biggest game yet, featuring 1,000 planets reportedly boasting larger maps than Skyrim that you’ll explore aboard your custom-built spaceship. While its main narrative might seem underwhelming at first, thousands of eager gamers cannot wait to discover all this galaxy has in store and plan to take off work just so they have enough time for Starfield!

Launch date will be 6 September; currently PCs and consoles can preinstall it now.
