Playable guest characters in Call of Duty games is nothing new, but this latest addition could be monumentally impactful.

Over time we’ve witnessed cameos from other franchises appear in Call of Duty such as Michael Myers of Halloween, Ghostface from Scream and Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – as well as real life celebrities Snoop Dogg and Lionel Messi are regulars on Call of Duty servers.

According to an industry insider, Nicki Minaj may soon join 21 Savage on Reddit as one of their next shooter characters. A tweet posted by Reddit user TheEternalGazed suggests Alaix believes they may join together soon in making up this exciting roster of military shooters.

Fans were taken by surprise (even for this series) at the announcement that Homelander, Starlight and Black Noir from Amazon series The Boys will become playable characters in Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II. This development caused considerable excitement.

“How could Call of Duty become a game where I could become Homelander and blow Nicki Minaj up?” wondered BGunn_1996. According to EmSoLow, this next-gen approach may see Lionel Messi ramming over Nicki Minaj with his jeep so as to loot her money and bring Homelander back from death and bring Homelander back alive through gameplay could actually happen within this videogame world. This truly marks its place among modern gaming.

“Next-gen gaming? Indeed. Fortnite featured John Wick destroying Ariana Grande and Scarlet Witch, something which simply did not add up in my mind,” explained Woahwoahvicky, while Per2D2 exclaimed his excitement over being “Twerked to death!” Although all speculation should be taken with caution until proven otherwise.

Recent Call of Duty news indicates the development of a multiplayer mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered as well as reports by an insider that Call of Duty 2024 may take place during the Gulf War.

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare II can now be purchased on PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
