Twisted Metal’s 1995 classic game will soon be playable on modern consoles; and we couldn’t be happier about that fact!
Twisted Metal video game franchise has been relatively quiet over recent years. Since 2012’s reboot on PS3, which didn’t amount to much. Perhaps with an impending television series now on its way back out though, maybe Twisted Metal finally will receive its due revival?
Twisted Metal (the TV series this time around, not its original game or reboot) won’t follow closely the plot from its first game; rather, its creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool and Zombieland respectively) are passionate fans of Twisted Metal and should ensure it will still provide plenty of thrills for series veterans.
Sony announced yesterday, to further build up Twisted Metal excitement, that both Twisted Metal (1995) and Twisted Metal 2 would soon become playable on PS4 and PS5 via PlayStation Plus Premium game catalogue from 18 July onward.
There will also be 16 more games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium later this month, such as It Takes Two and Undertale – two great multiplayer experiences! However, 10 titles will also be leaving, such as Stray. Don’t miss out; its main quest can only take five hours! The Extra Tier’s most sought-after title.
Twisted Metal’s TV adaptation will debut on Peacock Television Network on 27 July.
