After years of rights issues and delays, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will finally make its way onto Disney+.

Disney+ has quickly become the ultimate destination for Spider-Man fans worldwide – whether based in America or overseas with access to VPN – offering movies and classic shows which inspired us all to love his wallcrawling ways.

Even as Tom Holland continues his MCU adventures and Tobey Maguire completes his trilogy and various spinoffs like Venom and Into the Spider-Verse, one webhead remains absent: Andrew Garfield in Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Although not the greatest Spider-Man film available, due to a very dull plot and too many villains as well as questionable performances by Andrew Garfield’s version, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 still has many admirers. Recently, thanks largely to his redemption in Spider-Man: No Way Home, his portrayal received unprecedented support and love from viewers; some even demand Sony make The Amazing Spider-Man 3, including creating a petition with over 10,000 signatures already collected!

Now, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will join Disney+ when its subscription service officially goes live on 11 August. Unfortunately, however, due to distribution rights being secured elsewhere it took this long for Sony film’s to finally join other titles on Disney+.

But that isn’t the only Spider-Man film still missing: fans still await Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home as well as Venom 2 as well as highly anticipated Across The Spider-Verse.

At present, Disney+ in the UK does not contain any Spider-Man films at all despite once offering these. They were likely present at one point but have since disappeared leaving only TV show options remaining for fans to stream.
