Players of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag now can take advantage of an update which offers free DLC expansion content for the game.
Ubisoft have unleashed their full force for this franchise and I thank them immensely. Assassin’s Creed news keeps rolling in at an astounding pace; truly there has never been a more exciting time to be an avid follower.
On 12 October, Assassin’s Creed Mirage will launch. Set in ninth century Baghdad and featuring Valhalla’s Basim from Valhalla’s Knights, AC Mirage marks a return to AC’s stealth roots while boasting one of its smallest maps since AC Nexus was released several years back. Additionally, Ezio Auditore returns in Nexus while Codename Jade takes us back to second century BC China while insiders claim a remake of Black Flag is in development – hence today’s blog entry about an exclusive DLC expansion that I recently became available!
Remember Aveline DLC from 2013? She set off on three missions to rescue recruits from Connor of Assassin’s Creed 3. If you never purchased this DLC but own PC copy of Black Flag then this expansion might just make up for lost time – be ready for an amazing surprise.
Reddit user poopieuser909 reported that Aveline DLC appears to have been included with AC: Black Flag through a patch, making it available to everyone on PC now – we love free stuff! They noted, however, that Aveline wasn’t part of Freedom Cry’s season pass in any case, making this seemingly minor update significant nonetheless as Ubisoft could potentially update all copies to standardised Deluxe Edition copies; whatever their motivation for doing this, this move by Ubisoft makes good news all around!
Wait and see whether console players also gain the Aveline DLC or is it exclusive to PC users only; nonetheless it provides an exciting surprise bonus to PC gamers!
