Insider: PlayStation 5 slim won’t even be “slim” at all. It will still look like a big chungus.
It is a beast in both power and size. When I unboxed my PS5, I was shocked to discover that it would not fit in my system. Thankfully, the console managed to squeeze into the dock of my Nintendo Switch.
The PlayStation Slim is a product that many players have been waiting for. Microsoft may have accidentally confirmed the smaller version of PS5 . In a court document published recently, it stated that Sony planned to release a PlayStation 5 Slim at the same cost as Digital Edition consoles. Sony has not yet officially acknowledged this.
Tom Henderson, a prominent insider in the games industry, has claimed on Twitter that the Slim Console might not be as small as everyone expects.
Henderson said: “I have no idea about recent PlayStation Slim rumours or when they will be confirmed.” With a September release date, it makes sense to reveal the device soon. If it’s called the Slim or not, it’s likely to be branded as a PS5 with an upgraded model. I’m under the impression that the new PS5 will replace the existing PlayStation 5 and the last units should be on the shelves at the end of this year.”
I’ve never seen a prototype. It won’t be “slim” at all. We’ll have to wait and see.
Interesting. It’s interesting. If what he says is true, it’s possible that the changes won’t make a big difference in the size of the console at all. This would seem to defeat the purpose. Take this information with a grain of salt as Sony has not confirmed any of the claims.
