Xbox Update: Major changes that fans want reversed
Oh dear. The Xbox One update is here, and fans are not happy with the main changes.
If you’ve not seen it, the Xbox Home Screen was completely redesigned yesterday on both Xbox One as well as /S Series X. Ivy Krislov, senior product manager for Xbox experiences (via Xbox wire), announced the new update. “It is based on player feedback, making it easier to discover games, reconnect with communities and create a personalized experience.” Fans are less than enthusiastic about the update.
The r/XboxSeriesX Subreddit has a lot of players begging Xbox for reversing the update because the new tab titled ‘Most Played Games” is ‘horrible.’ Reddit user Spiderwolfer said: “Eversince the Xbox Home Screen Update, I’ve been punished by this horrible, immovable tab called, ‘Most Played Games’. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the tab contained my most-played games, but it does not.
They continued, “It has Xbox’s top-rated games that I do not own.” “I don’t like the Xbox Home Screen, but it isn’t much better. The only thing I wanted to see was our customized groups at the top. This has pushed them even lower. It’s a very annoying problem and I wish the developers had given it more thought. Please consider changing it.”
Other people are also annoyed: “Why should I care what’s most popular? The same games have been played for a decade. agrees it’sfrisky. NotoriousBPD said, “I loathe this new interface with the passion of a million suns.” I really hope that they remove this. It’s not my interest to know what games people who I do not know are playing. I can’t see why this information is displayed on MY Xbox’s homescreen,” said.
