PlayStation Plus users will soon get a bonus free game! August 2018 mark an auspicious time as more PlayStation Plus members enjoy additional free content in this month.
PlayStation Plus subscribers are fortunate enough to take advantage of an additional free game in August – effectively giving them four instead of the standard three! Do you feel blessed by fate or divine intervention?
July’s offerings from PlayStation Plus weren’t to be overlooked either; PlayStation users received Alan Wake Remastered, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Endling – Extinction is Forever as part of this month’s offerings – don’t forget you only have until next Friday (July 27) to snag those titles; Endling in particular was extraordinary yet heart-wrenching – don’t hesitate!
August’s games include Death’s Door, PGA Tour 2K23 and Dreams – three excellent options that I cannot pretend I care much for golf-wise; yet Death’s Door stands out as an enjoyable adventure inspired by both The Legend Of Zelda and Dark Souls; both worth experiencing first hand. However, Dreams stands out as something much greater: its story and gameplay standout against its competitors.
Dreams is an impressive compilation of thousands of games all in one. Not all are great; but some standout titles provide authentic gaming experiences in themselves.
Brings us to this month’s bonus game: an entertaining adventure called Tren.
“Tren is an exceptional toy engine who challenges players to solve a series of puzzles by taking it from one end of a track to the other,” according to a post on PlayStation’s blog. However, you might soon discover otherwise as you navigate some truly wild tracks with flips, tricks and feats of agility required of completion!
BeechCorp first revealed Tren in 2021 and developed it entirely within Dreams; at its core, Tren is all about enjoying play: “Tren is designed with this in mind: as adults grow into adulthood they should retain some sense of childlike wonder”.
Tren will join Dreams when PlayStation Plus games arrive for rental on August 1.
