Rockstar may have confirmed Red Dead Redemption 3 with their unveiling of new logo.
Can we give it up for Rockstar as their long-rumoured remake of 2010’s Red Dead Redemption may finally have been confirmed by them!? I can almost hear cheers for joy as this looks to have officially taken shape!
Rumors surrounding Red Dead Redemption’s release have swirled for some time now, and recently those speculations gained new traction when South Korean ratings board GRAC listed a separate version for 15 June 2023 on its website if searching Red Dead Redemption on this platform. Following Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition and all signs point towards it becoming reality for RDR as well – though all evidence so far indicates otherwise – with today marking another indication as Rockstar seems to have uploaded their logo for RDR on Rockstar website’s own platform as proof!
Twitter user TezFunz2 noticed the logo. On 27 July, Rockstar Games made public their new reference ‘Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver)’ along with codename RDR1RSP which likely means Red Dead Redemption Rockstar Presents and finally confirmed with logo confirmation for Rockstar Games Presents Red Dead Redemption.
That seems to indicate a remake, since that subtle signpost marks it apart from its original iteration – similar to how we had The Last of Us Part I which were two completely distinct games but are both basically two iterations of The Same game. Thus a full announcement appears imminently.
Rockstar could choose Gamescom’s Opening Night Live as their platform of choice to unveil what might be their big surprise; or alternatively they could drop it on us via social media at any moment – either way we will keep an eye out.
