How to Recruit a Pet OWLBEAR Cub
You’ll meet a variety of creatures as you travel through the Forgotten Realms with Baldur’s Gate 3. including feathery and fearsome Owlbears.
Baldur’s Gate 3 allows you to get your very own Owlbear cub by completing a series of tasks. They’re notorious for being troublesome, and they can eat people once they reach adulthood. But one glance at this cute little bugger will make you want to have one.
Baldur’s Gate 3, Owlbears
In Act 1, you’ll find the Owlbear Cub in Baldur’s Gate 3’s cave. You’ll also see the Owlbear in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Cave. You need to have Animal Handling as a Ranger or the ability to communicate with animals in any other class to make this work.
You don’t need to kill his mother as the Owlbear cub from the Goblin Camp is identical.
You can also choose to face one of Baldur’s Gate 3’s toughest opponents by combining the spear shaft of a dead man with the tip of the mother.
After you have killed it, the Owlbear cub will ignore your attempts to talk with it and eat her mother.
You’ll notice that the Goblins use the Owlbear Cub in a game of chicken-chasing. You’ll have to gain its trust at this stage.
You can talk to it while it runs through the camp and let it smell your scent, but then you’ll learn it is afraid to leave because the goblins are there.
You could also talk to Krolla and play a chicken-chasing game. You and the Owlbear Cub should talk after entering the arena. Tell it the goblins will not hurt it as long as it gets to the posts. Both conversations require passing checks.
You’ll need to talk to Krolla again to learn that the goblins are making it difficult for you to leave. The Owlbear Cub can be questioned again and you’ll learn it is afraid to leave because of the Goblins.
After that, you just need to go back to Krolla to let her know you are leaving with the cub.
If you pass the next check or use your Illithid abilities, then the cub will be peacefully handed to you. You’ll have to battle the goblins if you don’t.
You must not kill any goblin leader before obtaining the cub. This will make it impossible to do so. After completing the process, you should receive the Owlbear Cube at your camp.
Unfortunately, you cannot take your Baldur’s Gate 3 Owlbear Cub anywhere.
Two separate times, you can feed it or heal its injured paw. But that is all we are able to do.
We may be able to join the Baldur’s gate 3 Owlbears later in Early Access.
