EA recently teased fans about its new Battlefield title; however, fans remain undecided as to its legitimacy.
EA have released their initial details regarding Battlefield 2542; fans believe EA need to do much more convincing when compared with Battlefield 2042’s dismal performance.
No doubt by now you know the story: Battlefield 2042 launched to great disappointment with bugs and glitches galore at launch – some funny, others serious enough to trigger seizure warnings. According to reports by insiders claiming EA and DICE released it with much content missing which caused player counts rapidly decline; since then many updates, patches, fixes, patches have been implemented making the game significantly better; it remains hard not to remember its troubled start when considering future installments of its franchise.
Error Code 101102 As reported by ComicBook, EA revealed during an earnings call that there would not be a new Battlefield game released until sometime during 2024’s fiscal year (April 2023 to April 2024) which means it might arrive during later half of 2023, per prior rumours and its usual release schedule for Battlefield games.
EA further revealed that their next Battlefield would be a “reimagination”, seeking to create a “truly connected ecosystem”, whatever that entails. They remain coy on details for now but it seems clear they want to turn around its negative reputation; new blood must surely come into the series for future installments to succeed; failing which, it would likely spell the end for this series altogether.
Fans certainly need convincing by EA: one Twitter user stated “Do we really require an overhaul? All I want is a good game”, while another posted: “God, this post makes my blood boil” while one person posted: “Can we forget what happened with Battlefield 2042?!?.” So it is up to EA – they hold all the cards now.
