Fans agree: the music in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag’s sea shanties was unparalleled.
Black Flag’s sea shanties were, to use a phrase used by fans of Assassin’s Creed: an incredible, heartbreaking feat of music-making that I really can’t disagree with.
Insiders believe Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will get its own remake in due course, which could take several years due to Ubisoft’s packed release schedule – Mirage will arrive on 12 October (we finally know its completion timeframe!) with Ezio Auditore returning for Nexus, while Codename Red will mark its conclusion as the final RPG entry from this franchise – fans are discussing just how well Black Flag’s sea shanties compared with today.
Reddit user kingofallnorway took to Reddit and wrote, “I miss the heart and soul that Black Flag sailing and sea shanties brought. Ubisoft captured magic with Black Flag; now coming up on 10 years since it came out […] Sea shanties captured my heart then and still do today […] […] […] […] I will replay in honor of its anniversary.” […] The sea shanties still hold an intimate place within me today […]
Many other fans were in agreement. “Yeah, the Shanties Are Great…and The Game Has Such An Amazing Plot”, Kaizor0329 commented while nonadventures said she took longer due to playing Pirate Simulator over and above focusing on main game.” LordScott91 commented “I listen to those Shanties Religiously Man; They Are F**kin Amazing.
Fans are expecting that sea shanties will return in any rumoured remake, and do not wish for Ubisoft to change up the soundtrack any. Just look back to The Last of Us Part I to get an idea. All this brings up one important question – What would we do with an intoxicated sailor?
