PlayStation Plus’ latest free game has proven an overwhelming success; many believe it should have been added years earlier.
One of my favorite aspects of PlayStation Plus is how it shines a light on games that may otherwise go ignored. It is truly lovely seeing all this affection shown towards an indie title with diminishing player counts or those that might otherwise slip under the radar initially.
This month’s Essential Tier lineup for PlayStation Plus is now live – subscribers can now grab PGA Tour 2K23, Death’s Door and Dreams as part of this month’s Essential Tier lineup – while Tren, an exclusive title available only in Dreams is also included in that game’s package. Dreams is what I want to talk about today as this unique release from Media Molecule was first launched back in 2020 with live service support expected to end by September 2023 as developers plan a transition onto an unannounced project which seemed like it might seep its popularity once more due its inclusion within PlayStation Plus Essential Tier subscription packages!
Have a look below at Tren, one of Dreams latest in-game hit!
Dreams is, to put it mildly, anything you make it. From games, images and animation to sculptures created by other players – or simply enjoying what others have made. Since being added to PlayStation Plus this past Friday alone, its players have increased by 100,000. And remember this number will only keep rising!
Reddit users voiced their excitement over finding this game – emphasizing its late inclusion to PS Plus or as F2P with live service aspects. Yosonimbored wrote “Wild. Seems it should’ve made its debut a lot sooner”, while Vespaeelio added, “So far so good – love seeing all these creative creations!”
User pnutbuttered stated, “Dreams remains phenomenal; however, I wish I had the talent to create anything in it myself; however, that sentiment can only be shared so deeply by so many users and creators whose work we can enjoy through PlayStation Plus until 4 September”. Dreams is currently available until 4 September for purchase via PSN Plus.
