Unleak reveals Red Dead Redemption Remaster Will be Announced Soon
Rockstar Games still refuses to acknowledge rumors of a Red Dead Redemption remake being planned; but one insider claims this could change today. Uh oh!
Remake speculation has swirled for some time now; last month however, when South Korean ratings boards listed an updated version of Red Dead Redemption online. Soon thereafter, Rockstar Games confirmed this title via their backend logo as Rockstar Presents Red Dead Redemption; hopefully you don’t need to fear something as drastic as GTA: Definitive Edition Trilogy as Red Dead Redemption will receive remake treatment rather than simple remaster. According to an insider source however, today is said to be when we should expect formal announcement.
Twitter user that1detectiv3 tweeted out, stating, “Tomorrow may mark a Red Dead Redemption Remaster announcement ahead of Take Two’s earnings call this coming Tuesday. Most likely it’ll take place later in the month but who knows. I suspect it might even be announced before then!” Many have been referring to it online as being a remake vs remaster though there may have been confusion, so perhaps just ignore this for now!
Rockstar Games could make their announcement today at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live show hosted by Geoff Keighley; although, given Rockstar’s history of going their own way and doing unexpected things I wouldn’t be surprised if there was an unexpected Twitter reveal instead.
