Far Cry 7 confirmed on job listing
Ubisoft job listing on LinkedIn could indicate that Far Cry 7 may soon be underway with multiplayer modes planned.
Ubisoft has been busy recently, working on multiple franchise projects spanning multiple franchises. Their current lineup includes 11 Assassin’s Creed games as well as remakes for both Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon titles as well as reports for an expected new Ghost Recon game.
Now it appears they’ve announced another game under development – Far Cry 7 which recently advertised job vacancies.
Far Cry 6 left many fans wanting more, yet its DLC led to exciting developments – particularly that which involved Far Cry 3 villain Vaas’ return as possible protagonist/antagonist for Far Cry 7. Vaas even teased that she might play an even larger part in Far Cry 7.
Although not much has been revealed regarding an unannounced Far Cry title, a job listing has confirmed its development.
LinkedIn currently features an open job opportunity for UX Designer, an individual responsible for crafting enjoyable gaming experiences through player feedback analysis to develop enjoyable video game experiences and gameplay mechanics or feel. According to LinkedIn’s listing for this role it would involve contributing towards “Far Cry Project”.
An intriguing aspect of the job description indicates a successful candidate will: “Support the online experience (toxicity management, shop etc) together with game design”.
Not only has the listing for Far Cry 7 seemingly confirmed it’s development, it could indicate more focus on multiplayer gameplay compared to its predecessors. Previous titles allowed players to team up and explore together while also taking on missions together and more.
Far Cry 7 will likely feature the familiar cooperative campaign, yet additional modes could potentially include PvP or similar formats.
As yet, no exact release date can be pinpointed; however, 2024 seems like an ideal guess for its appearance.
