Starfield fan, planning on basing their character after their deceased father
Starfield fans are planning to assist one player create an emotional tribute for their late father by editing their character into something moving and personal.
Bethesda’s forthcoming space exploration game Starfield is almost here and fans have begun plotting their route across its expansive galaxy by designing their own starships and considering character builds.
Starfield promises more freedom than any Bethesda game ever has before, even offering players the ability to become space samurais – which would be awesome!
One Starfield fan wishes to utilize Starfield’s advanced character creation features to recreate their late father and has sought help from the community – receiving overwhelming responses of support and offers of assistance along the way.
FunkyPunk1995 posted to Reddit asking fans for help memorialising his late father through Starfield, as the latter could no longer play due to motion sickness but was nonetheless drawn towards its open world and customisation options. Unfortunately, FunkyPunk’s father has since passed away.
FunkyPunk1995 commented, requesting assistance in modeling her character after her late father. Unfortunately, FunkyPunk1995 noted, she lacks the artistic mind required for creating in-game characters like she wants and doesn’t possess one herself. “I would greatly appreciate some assistance from someone skilled with character creators so she can help create my father-inspired player character for me in game!”
They went on to explain: “If anyone would like to assist in helping my dad explore space like that it really touches my heart and brings comfort, so thank you to anyone who contributes in any way!”
Since we don’t yet have access to the character creator, it was impossible for us to fulfill her request, however that didn’t stop fans from offering condolences as well as asking that on release day the player post a picture showing what went on so people can help out more efficiently.

Starfield will officially go live on September 6, and I hope that all players can realize their dream when Starfield launches!
