Less-than-official footage for Grand Theft Auto VI has surfaced online, showing police chases, nightclub scenes and additional content that has yet to be seen in game.

Though likely one of the biggest releases ever in gaming, Rockstar Games’ next Grand Theft Auto title remains shrouded in secrecy and mystery.

So far, nothing official regarding Grand Theft Auto VI has been announced by Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive; however, Take-Two hinted it may release in 2025, suggesting we may soon witness its debut.

Since then, any piece of information about The Division 2’s development – be it insider claims, speculation and rumor mill musings or gameplay leaks – has become highly valued among online forums and news sources alike.

@RockstarGTAVl has shared an abundance of leaked content via social media that, at time of writing, remains online – at least some of it anyway!

These videos showed various gameplay segments from an unreleased title; none appeared complete and could indicate it is at an earlier development stage of production.

Videos released this week included additional coverage of nightclubs, free-roam gameplay and new vehicle features such as whether or not having the sun-visor down is desirable.

Most prominent was a video that demonstrated player being pursued by police officers – something which has recently generated much discussion as reports indicate their artificial intelligence (AI) has reportedly been improved from what existed during Grand Theft Auto V, making them smarter, responsive, and ultimately more of an enemy to players.

GTA V has often been criticized for having police appear out of nowhere, leading to some frustrating evasion segments.

While gameplay didn’t do much to demonstrate the improved police AI – as one pursuer careened off road without apparent reason – it was exciting to get our first look at chase sequences that might appear in a final release of this title.

Grand Theft Auto VI’s release date remains uncertain, although the game will hit Xbox Series X/S consoles, PlayStation 5 consoles and PC platforms in 2017.
