Starfield Launch Event Leaks Ahead of Official Announcement
Starfield has garnered considerable anticipation, particularly following an online leak regarding its launch event.
No official announcement has yet been made; however, according to a Twitter post made by Microsoft insiders who claim there will be an “interactive event” celebrating its debut.
Karim Jovian also pointed out that their source was very enthusiastic when talking with them and anticipating what will unfold from these discussions.
Naturally, when dealing with leaks like this one, fans must expect them to be false; after all, Bethesda has yet to announce anything and this could simply be created as hype for no valid reason. That being said, given Bethesda’s history and focus, launch events seem plausible given Bethesda’s history.
One Redditor noted, “Well, they couldn’t possibly downplay such an important event as their launch event”, while another user wondered if Gamescom will serve as another launch platform that lets people choose what the person playing does next (similar to what was done for Fallout 4)?”
Gamescon 2023 will run from 23 August until 27 August and it would make sense for developers to make an impressionful debut during such an illustrious convention.
While fans have generally responded rationally to this leak, some have taken an exaggerated interpretation – commander_snuggles said “They plan on sending some lucky fans into space to search for alien life”.
At best, we can only hope. Ideally, alien life forms would welcome our presence with open arms.
Fans have begun making wild speculations and dreaming about Starfield launch events since word of a “leak” had spread online; many question its veracity due to being unfamiliar with its original poster. Gamers, in general, tend to wait before becoming too excited over any Starfield events before getting too enthusiastic for launch events.
At present, all we can do is calm our anticipation by knowing that Starfield will debut on 6 September and that there may be an event launch to commemorate it – emphasise on “might”.
