Starfield story spoilers and late game footage have begun appearing online.
Starfield spoilers have begun popping up online and we had anticipated this moment would arrive soon enough…
Remarkably, once again the surprise of experiencing a game on your own has been taken from us as both story details and late game footage spread freely online.
Few days ago we rejoiced as Bethesda announced Starfield had gone gold, with our excitement only intensified when we realized how long until review embargoes could be lifted. Now those positive vibes seem distant due to one “PlayStation fanboy”, seemingly determined to ruin other people’s enjoyment just because the console he prefers doesn’t support it – yet these folks clearly didn’t do their research as PS players can still access Starfield, even if more steps must be taken than usual to play it!
Because so much of our lives take place online, spoilers have become part of life for most of us – as much as they may disgust us – but this particular incident feels especially painful. I think perhaps because many have placed so much hope in Starfield becoming the greatest Bethesda game to date; and even as professional game writers ourselves we quickly cover up when faced with spoilers that go beyond being simply unfunny or irrelevant.
DreamcastGuy tweeted on YouTube “WTF, well the main storyline for Starfield has leaked, legitimately just saw its ending on my timeline”, sending shockwaves through us as it made clear no one is safe from spoilers leaking out – we want our experience to remain pure, firsthand and unaffected by fanboys with too much free time.
Let us celebrate Starfield coming to Xbox One – let us all give thanks for this happy news, although its heavy game file size might make this surprising – let us all cheer and welcome it with open arms as an additional win that may help our timelines become cleaner again!
Take a deep breath, exhale slowly and relax. Before the review embargo expires on September 6, make sure that you remain secure online by blocking anyone who causes you any discomfort online. Soon enough it will be 6 September and we can all begin playing Bethesda’s Gods intended game together!
