Official documents confirm that the release date of PlayStation 6 is earlier than expected

It looks as though the PlayStation 6 will be here sooner than you think.

Documents show that Sony the next PlayStation is on its way. It seems that progress never ceases. I wish my wallet would do that.

We’ll take a look at the previous PlayStation generations. Typically, PlayStation consoles are released every five to seven year. The PS2 was released a few years after Sony’s original PlayStation. It took six-and-ahalf years for the PS3 to arrive, and seven years later the PS4 arrived.

The PlayStation 6 would arrive at its earliest in 2028 if we were to assume that we will wait another seven or eight years between consoles.

Official court documents released as part of Activision-Blizzard fightt, between Sony and Microsoft, suggest that the next PlayStation will be available in 2027.

According to Sony, on page 8 of this 22-page document it is claimed that Microsoft “offered” to make Activision games only available for PlayStation until 2027.

According to the document, “By [redacted], SIE would not have access to Call of Duty or other Activision games. This could make it vulnerable to consumers switching to another console and a subsequent decline in competitiveness.”

It’s not clear what the exact release date for the PS6 is, but even if it was revealed in the document the PS6 would be released between 2027 and 2028.

It’s still some time away. You’ll be interested in the PlayStation 5 Slim, and PlayStation 5 Pro that Sony is sure to release over the next couple of years. They will do this to get some extra money from us as they work on the PlayStation 6
