CD Projekt teases LEGO The Witcher
Unofficially, we have a new partnership and are shipping it hard.
You may have always imagined what The Witcher in LEGO would look like. For many, we never imagined that two of our favorite games would be combined. It was foolish to not have dreamed so big. We’re lucky to have visionaries like BrickPanda82 who thought the world needed Lego Geralt. It was long overdue.
BrickPanda82 captured the moody, smouldering features of Geralt, along with his magnificent grey mane in a way that was truly unique. The witcher came to life through BrickPanda82’s rendering. Each image captures the essence of the series, the games and even the books. Even CD Projekt Red was blown away.
The Witcher twitter account posted images with the caption, “The Witcher LEGO (unofficial)” by @BrickPanda82. You’ll understand why we wonder if Projekt Red is going to take advantage of this opportunity, and explore the possibilities of an official LEGO Geralt.
We hope, despite our inability chill out, that the first LEGO game will be The Witcher 3 : The Wild Hunt. After all, it has been called the one of the greatest games ever. If we are being honest, though, we would be happy to see any LEGO version of the series as long as it allowed us to watch Dandelion light up in local bars as he sings.
It would be great to see The Witcher series rise above the ashes left by poor creative decisions. The LEGO concept, combined with the news that The Witcher creator announced a brand new book 10 years after could be the solution we have been searching for.
We’ll have to make do with LEGO The Witcher, which is unofficial. It’s anyone’s guess how long the unofficial LEGO The Witcher will remain now that CD Projekt Red has given it their thumbs-up.
