Elden Ring 2, a new interview seems to confirm
Elden Ring is one of the most popular video games released in recent years. It’s even one of the greatest video games ever made, which shouldn’t surprise fans of FromSoftware.
Elden Ring was released in February 2022 and immediately became a critical hit, achieving ratings as high as 95. The Game Awards in 2022 also awarded Game Of The Year to Elden Ring. Players were enticed to explore the Lands Between’s open map, even though they knew that danger was always lurking.
Elden Ring has a lot to offer, from its stunning world design, epic boss fights, fun combat, beautiful soundtrack, and deep lore. Elden Ring became even more enjoyable with PvP.
As you might imagine, the Internet went wild when FromSoftware revealed the upcoming expansion “Shadow of the Erdree”. At this point, there is no set release date, however, it’s expected that the expansion will be available this year, or in early 2019.
It’s not surprising that after surpassing 20 million units sold in a single year, fans expect a sequel. FromSoftware not only teased a ‘frequent release’ but has also promised more expansions following Shadow of the Erdree.
According to a Reddit post by AnchovyKing, Hidetaka M. Miyazaki confirmed in a newly released ‘Elden Ring Future Press Guide’ that some of the lore from em>Elden Ring/em> has been’saved for future games. was shared by Reddit user AnchovyKing. Miyazaki stated in the newly released “Elden Ring Future Press Guide” that some Elden Ring Lore had been’saved’ for future games.
This is not an official confirmation, but the high level of critical and commercial success for Elden Ring should be enough to guarantee it. It’s important to remember that saving Elden Ring for “future” games would not make sense if it was included in other properties. However, some people have speculated that FromSoftware may somehow be related.
If we are optimistic, then hopefully one day, we’ll see Elden Ring 2. Many would consider The Game Awards, in December 2023, as a suitable destination for an announcement of this magnitude. Keep your fingers crossed.
In Elden Ring we stated that it was: “One the most important video games released in the past decade and an essential title, Elden Ring confirms 2022’s incredible start.”
