Assassin’s creed meets Red Dead Redemption 2 with this stunning new RPG
The upcoming RPG is a stunning blend of AAA AAA games from the past decade.
You’ll remember Crimson Desert if you watched Gamescom’s Opening Night Live last night. It’s a new RPG which borrows the parkour of Assassin’s Creed and Red Dead Redemption 2’s narrative brilliance, as well as the open world spectacle of Elden Ring.
Crimson Desert, developed by Pearl Abyss was announced officially in 2021. A new gameplay trailer was shown off during the Gamescom Livestream last night, along with campaign gameplay from Call Of Duty Modern Warfare III and a Little Nightmares 3 reveal.
This new game showcases the character of Pywel exploring this vast fantasy world. It also shows some of the other characters you will encounter during the adventure.
The game will feature a lot of traversal, whether the player uses magic, parkour, or a horse to glide across the map. Yesterday’s trailer showed the latter ability, where the player rode their horse down a cliff, then jumped off, flying away. Unfortunately, the horse was not so fortunate.
When not in combat, players can also tick off tasks on a jobboard The Witcher 3, go fishing (because all great games need a mini-game of fishing), and buy food and pets.
The game has a lot of Red Dead Redemption II feel to it. You can explore the world endlessly, or take time out and soak in the atmosphere.
Crimson Desertcurrently does not have an official release date but the release of this game on PCs and consoles has been confirmed.
