GTA 6 hacker found guilty in court as more leaks are revealed
The hacker who was responsible for the Grand Theft Auto VI leaked leaks last year has been held liable by a court.
Rockstar Games is silent about the development of Grand Theft Auto VI. This has led to the fans to take matters into their hands and share rumours. theories, and leaks.
A hacker named Kurtaj and an unknown 17-year old associate leaked 90 videos in 2022, showing early development footage of GTA 6in motion. These leaks were spread across the web like wildfire and confirmed many rumoured facts about the game. This included the woman protagonist and Vice City as the setting.
Since then, additional leaks from various sources have emerged, further confirming Vice City’s addition . They also give fans a glimpse of a action-packed police chase and an inside look at a few in-game structures.
Kurtaj was found guilty of the leaks last year by a court. Kurtaj was part of the hacking group Lapsus$ and responsible for numerous cyber attacks on Nvidia, among other well-known firms.
Hacker infiltrated Rockstar’s Slack private channels and gained access to secret files on GTA V,. He posted a message stating: “I am not an employee of Rockstar, I am a hacker… If Rockstar doesn’t contact me via Telegram within the next 24 hours, I will begin releasing source code.”
They were already in jail at the time of the Nvidia attack, but were put up for a night when a hacker group doxxed them. The police searched the room of the hotel and discovered an Amazon Firestick as well as a keyboard and mouse, and a mobile phone. All were being used for accessing the Internet.
Grand Theft Auto VI has currently no release date, but it is expected to be released sometime between 2024-2025 on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 for PC.
