The planet depicted by Starsector is incredibly detailed. The gameplay is set in the cycle of (year 206) (year 3126) within the arm of Perseus One of the four major branches that comprise the Milky Way. It’s one of the areas that are affected by the constant conflict over resources caused by being separated from other areas of the universe.
In the distant past mankind ruled the majority in the Milky Way. The entire Empire, also known as the domain of the human race, was administered by a governing council, which was built upon “Old Earth”. The areas under its jurisdiction were split into a series of areas; easy mobility between them was made by means of specially designed gates. A few days later, all gates of the area were shut and all connections to human realms were broken. In the absence of communication with other parts of the Empire, along with the lack of food resources led to the commencement of war between planets.
