It was inevitable following the enormous commercial success that was the Super Mario Bros Movie that discussions would shift towards different Nintendo franchises which could be made into a movie. The plumbing duo is currently broadcasting all over and the world of gaming is pondering what’s next. Could Zelda the next option?

At the time of writing 5th, Mario animated debut film has been able to earn a global total of $1.36 billion. It will have heads at Nintendo as well as Universal looking through the Japanese producer’s archive.

It’s likely that we’re not getting the film called Burger Time film that we would like, but can we be able to witness Nintendo’s renowned silent hero take to the screen? We’ll be honest. While everyone would be scared of that the final product, The Legend of Zelda has the perfect recipe to adapt – a brave hero stunning princess, a country filled with legends as well as a truly wicked enemy … It has everything.

It’s true, Chris Pratt as Ganon will have you purchasing tickets. But I’m not against any of her returning from her character as princess Peach to be Zelda.

The success that was Mario suggests there’s the desire for more. The producer of Tears of the Kingdom Eiji Aonuma as well as Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi have expressed desire to make the possibility of a Zelda film. In the days following The Super Mario Bros Movie came out in the summer of 2008, it was speculated about whether Illumination would be moving to Zelda. There is now a strong indication there is a chance that Universal Pictures has a finger in the pie.

If reports from a credible source are true such as MyTimeToShineHello, Universal Pictures are working on “developing a live action Legend of Zelda movie”.

It’s a matter of debate in the present the question is, if this has been happening is it live-action? There have been a lot of poor video games One could even say the fact that Mario Bros succeeded thanks to its animation.

The rumour itself is just that it is a report. But, it’s one that is easily hidden behind a mask of fact, since it’s highly unlikely Nintendo would be hesitant to approve an additional billion-dollar film project.
