Xbox has been reported to want to allow cloud streaming on Sony platforms. That means you can theoretically play Xbox exclusive games for your PS5.

New details about Microsoft’s plans regarding the future have been leaked on the internet, and it’s all because of the FTC trial of this Activision-Blizzard agreement that requires Microsoft to disclose the future business plans of Microsoft.

As of now, we’ve gotten an image of the brand new Xbox controller it’s an actual PlayStation 5 DualSense, an early glimpse of a brand new Xbox coming out next year sporting an strange style along with future plans for the next generation of consoles that will launch in 2028 together with PlayStation 6. PlayStation 6.

A different aspect that was discussed however was the desire of Xbox to simplify the experience of streaming cloud games. The company has been pushing cloud gaming in the past and has allowed players to stream games directly from the Xbox series X/S console devices like computers, phones and gadgets wirelessly.

In the near future, Xbox wants to give gamers on PlayStation 5 the chance to stream Xbox games directly onto the system. This would allow them to play a variety of Xbox exclusive games like Halo, Starfield, and in the future Bethesda releases.

The plan is to allow PlayStation 5 users to go through the integrated web browser and stream their games it, as long as they’ve got the correct internet connection. It depends on if Sony is willing to cooperate with the idea, which is a bit unsure in the best case.

In an update published via Tom Warren, several key Xbox employees, including Phil Spencer and Matt Booty were reported to have had a discussion about the possibility of streaming cloud content to Sony consoles. The team believed that, while in theory, it’s likely Sony will stop the streaming.

It’s not only PlayStation which Xbox would like to collaborate to, however it has recently emerged that Microsoft is looking to buy Nintendo. They currently have a 10 years of partnership that Xbox seems to want to make the deal permanent.

It appears that Xbox is bursting with intriguing plans for the near future which means they’ll be a brand worth keeping an eye on to see what they come up with following.
