The New Elder Scrolls game was just quietly made available accessible to play!

Are You Wondering How We’ll Wait for Elder Scrolls: Castles to Release on PC/Consoles? You could try The Elder Scrolls: Castles, which was quietly launched onto Android-based mobile platforms last night as an early access title exclusively on Android (though an iOS release seems likely). Of course, this won’t satisfy that Elder Scrolls urge just yet, but who knows, maybe this mobile-focused title might just become your new go-to game on Android!? It won’t necessarily meet that need, but it may become your mobile obsession!

The Elder Scrolls: Castles is now available, mixing the classic franchise with Fallout Shelter-type gameplay. Take control of your castle by managing its management by adding and removing rooms, placing decorations and inspirational monuments, assigning subjects to workstations!

Ruling your kingdom is done using an interactive Reigns-inspired request system. As mentioned in its official blurb, “Make key decisions that impact your legacy,” meaning gameplay elements could change over time depending on decisions you make based on these decisions; you will be dealing with disputes among subjects as well as royal politics as part of this experience.

Quests are at the core of this mobile game as you send heroes out with customizable equipment on quests against “classic Elder Scrolls foes.” As it’s mobile-oriented, there will also be lots of resources and microtasks to gather. According to its blurb, there will even be “epic gear”, suggesting there might be a rarity scale on what gear your heroes can possess.

So far, screenshots depict a Fallout Shelter layout styled after medieval aesthetics while its characters feature cartoony animation that incorporates vibrant colors reminiscent of comic books. One screenshot also showcases two heroes fighting an enormous dragon; there appears to be a battle bar at the top that tracks this struggle between knights and dragons and indicates potential interaction from players that may impact it further.

As early access progresses, we will hopefully gain more knowledge. Meanwhile, we will build castles while waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6.
