Red Dead Redemption fans have identified what is most realistic about their favorite videogame, and it’s not simply its surroundings.

Rockstar Games truly outdid themselves with Red Dead Redemption 2, the visual and gameplay masterpiece which still holds great fascination from gamers five years after its initial release. Many consider Red Dead Redemption 2 one of the greatest videogames ever.

Since realism is such an impressive aspect of this game, fans have taken great delight in discussing which aspect stands out as most impressive for its attention to detail.

Red Dead Redemption fan JRushPro wanted to know: What do you find most realistic about this game? For me personally, what I loved best was being able to perform missions at any time of day aside from those scripted beforehand – unlike many open world titles which require you to complete them at certain times – this one gives players full freedom in choosing when and if to complete missions.”

While responses varied widely – from its incredible open world and snow crunching when Arthur/John walk over it to how NPCs interact and react – one aspect of the game was quickly identified as standing out: wild animals.

“I appreciate how realistic the horses move when running through fields; these seemingly innocuous details add so much depth and texture.

“That deer have antlers locked together”

Some fans also took it one step further and discussed how Rockstar put so much care and detail into programming the horse testicles to shrink when exposed to colder temperatures – it almost makes you feel sorry for whichever developer had to work on that aspect of the game!

As console hardware improves, one cannot help but speculate how advanced Red Dead Redemption 3 – Rockstar’s supposed next title after Grand Theft Auto VI – may become.

Red Dead Redemption 2 can be played on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms.
