Petition to bring back the Def Jam series for PlayStation 5 has collected more than 10,000 signatures so far and continues to gain support from gamers everywhere.
With each new console generation comes an opportunity to revive long-forgotten franchises through rereleases, remakes and remasters.
This year has seen numerous classic games make a return with modernized versions – an effect epitomized by Metacritic’s best-rated games list being mostly composed of remakes/remasters.
With so much potential on what series could return next, fans have gone wild demanding some of their favourite titles be considered for modern platforms; one being the Def Jam series; currently, over 10,000 signatures have been collected on an online petition to bring this back!
RAH GAMING started this petition to request EA Games release Def Jam World War for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S systems, saying the world needs it! “EA Games needs this! People deserve access.”
As many may already know, Def Jam is an entertainment series featuring real-life rappers and singers competing head to head in arenas, making you witness legendary names such as Snoop Dogg, Ice T and Busta Rhymes in thrilling battles for supremacy.
Notable features in this game include using its environment to get an edge against your opponent, and simply enjoying watching two rappers fight it out and unleash wild combos against each other.
Fans have long awaited new installments in this beloved franchise and hope for its revival through either new games or remakes or re-releases of existing entries.
Now it is up to EA’s discretion as to whether revisiting is worth their consideration; should fan interest become loud enough, there could even be the chance that some form of the Def Jam series could return one way or another.
