Fans feel strongly that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla deserves more love from players, believing it not to be as disappointing as many have made out.
Many fans view Assassin’s Creed RPG games as the outcasts in its series. Although Origins introduced RPG elements while maintaining focus on stealth and assassinations, subsequent titles would go all in, much to fan disappointment.
Although Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Valhalla may not be considered bad games, they’ve certainly not earned high praise as great Assassin’s Creed games due to their overly large open worlds and unrealistic environments.

However, some fans are beginning to reconsider Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and believe it wasn’t as terrible as people claimed it to be.
Unfair_Pudding6180’s post to Reddit revealed how quickly this shift had begun: she asked whether “AC: Valhalla is really all that bad? So many people seem to say it’s too long and boring with an awful storyline, etc… I liked Odyssey, but these comments put me off from playing Valhalla.”
Fans of the game sided together, saying it should not be passed over unnecessarily.
“Valhalla has always been my favorite RPG trilogy setting; however, exploring and collecting things in places and times I know nothing about is what intrigues me most about exploring this area and period.”
