Red Dead Redemption 2: Heart Plains offers players a whole new area to discover and conquer.
At five years since Red Dead Redemption 2’s launch, fans may have explored every corner of its world. Thanks to one modder’s creations, players now have an additional area they can discover!
Nexus Mods’ Heart Plains mod transforms the Green Heartlands area of Nexus Mods into the dry Heat Plains after an extreme dry spell has transformed their appearance, replacing lush grassland with barren ground covered by dry grass and weeds. Furthermore, Big Valley becomes transformed into Redwood Expansion for autumnal appeal; dull brown tones become vibrant shades of rust which makes an impressive landscape backdrop with Sequoia trees dotting it’s landscape.
Not only that, the mod provides an additional file which changes some of Red Dead Redemption 2’s existing trees from green to varying shades – specifically with regard to English Oak, Maple, Birch and Poplar trees in the region – with updates planned in order to add even more changes later on.
One comment regarding this mod reads “This mod makes the game more Wild West”, while another called it an aesthetically pleasing autumn mod. One fan tried out and gave their praise to its creator; one fan stated “The Heartlands area looks absolutely fabulous with new colors added, while Valentine looks straight out of Deadwood; mod of the year for me!” This mod’s creator deserves many accolades indeed!
Red Dead Redemption 2 boasts an abundance of talented creators behind its community. Recently, mods that allow players to manage their own gun store were made available as was adding zombies in time for Halloween. For those not keen on modding their games can still log back in after five years to check out an unexpected hidden room recently discovered!
