The release of Batman Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch has been postponed due to technological limitations.
Just when fans thought their wait for Gotham City on Nintendo Switch had ended, it has been extended yet further. Instead of arriving this month as had previously been expected, its arrival will not occur this month.
Fans of Nintendo Switch and DC comics were disappointed to learn today of an unexpected setback, as its official X (formerly Twitter) account announced the delay of the Batman Arkham Trilogy release.
Switch players needn’t fret just yet: this news won’t mean an immediate change but will mean waiting a while longer before becoming the World’s Greatest Detectives themselves.
Batman Arkham for Switch has been delayed. Initially scheduled for an October 13 release date, its launch has now been moved back to December 1. This news was announced this morning (October 3, 2023) via an announcement posted from its official game website.
In their post, the team behind this project explained their decision to delay it by assuring fans it is done to deliver “the best experience on Nintendo Switch.” As recent releases such as Mortal Kombat 1 were less-than-impressive for many fans, we believe many out there may welcome any delays that mean higher-quality products are coming their way.
Though we must wait a little longer for Batman on Switch, his original release proves it will be well worth our while. He brought three great titles that fascinated, intrigued, and immersed players into some of DC Universe’s iconic villains and settings; many may argue this set a high benchmark for Marvel, who responded quickly by producing their trilogy with Spider-Man 2 nearing release this month.
