Super Mario fans finally know who will voice this iconic Nintendo character; his voice actor recently unveiled himself.

Nintendo and Super Mario fans have an exciting future ahead of them – there have been whispers about a possible successor console, possibly Nintendo Switch 2, while incredible titles will also be released for existing hardware from this iconic company.

Undoubtedly the most anticipated title this fall will be Super Mario Bros. Wonder, an ambitious 2D platformer that brings new visuals and gameplay elements to the series.

Showcasing stunning art style, innovative gameplay with level-changing Wonder Flowers, and all new powerups/characters; Mario Odyssey promises to delight new and veteran Mario fans alike! One question remains though; does Elephant Mario have fingers?

Mario hasn’t just received a fresh coat of paint: His vocal cords have experienced change as Charles Martinet, the voice actor for around 32 years who voiced him before recently departing to make way for new talent to take his place.

After weeks of speculation and the false hope that they’d found Mario’s replacement only to be disappointed later, the search is finally complete as their new voice actor has come forward and confirmed they’ll take control of Mushroom Kingdom.

Kevin Afghani has taken over Voice-acting duties. A relative newcomer on the scene, Afghani has garnered several notable roles such as Genshin Impact characters and even some Nintendo Switch advert voiceovers so far.

Afghani confirmed their news via their Twitter account and shared: “Extremely proud of voicing Mario and Luigi for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Thank you, Nintendo for inviting me into Flower Kingdom!”

Fans quickly welcomed Afghani as the voice of the series in replies, thanking him for this rare chance and eagerly looking forward to witnessing more performances by him in future seasons.

“From what I have heard so far, your voice clips demonstrate an interesting personality while sounding familiar!!! As someone who grew up watching Mario himself, your performance is outstanding!”

Congratulations!! Looking Forward to more of Your Work”

“Such an impressive feat for you and an admirable job well done!” “Congratulations! Yet another dream realized and success achieved!”

Afghani’s debut role as Mario or Luigi will appear in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, set for release on 20 October for Nintendo Switch.
