Elden Ring: The Garden Of Eyes is the apocalyptic sequel that follows directly after Elden Ring: The Fallen Empires.
Elden Ring fans eagerly anticipate Shadow of the Erdtree DLC release date; in its absence, The Garden of Eyes provides enough content for them to satisfy their hunger for more 2022 action RPG content. Luckily for them, Elden Ring: The Garden of Eyes can fill this void!
Elden Ring won 2022’s Game of the Year Award and for good reason was widely considered an artistic masterwork. But with no Shadow of Erdtree DLC released yet, modders are providing fans with extra content they hanker after. Since its first teaser last year, modders have turned their focus towards giving Elden Ring players new gameplay features, stories for each class, armor/weaponry upgrades as well as exploration locations throughout. Furthermore, fans of lore may rejoice to discover this update will explore this region as well!
Game Rant interviewed The Garden of Eyes’ lead designer about its ambitious feature: an intricate class-based progression system and dynamic difficulty. When installed, players will begin in various regions depending on which class is selected to start in, with its difficulty automatically scaling with their choice; creating massive replay value as experiences change depending on which classes players select – not forgetting each class has its backstory!
“One of our main objectives in developing Elden Ring 2 was to craft stories for every class,” explained lead designer Richard Johnson. “You will visit new areas and fight unique bosses unique to that class during playthrough; as part of this memory-based tale you may revisit old events in Elden Ring that had happened previously as well as pay homage to things not explicitly included within Elden Ring.” This memory-based tale provides us an opportunity to revisit past events that happened within Elden Ring; revisit previously alluded-to events but not directly featured in the Elden Ring 2 base game, and allude to things that were left out due to the limited space of Elden Ring itself,” the lead designer explained. This memory-based memory allows us to revisit old events within Elden Ring while paying respect and paying respect where there had not been featured fully as much within.
Creta, the Fallen Crucible Knight will also make their debut this expansion and give players a great opportunity to try out your newly unlocked weapons and armor. “While we were working, we began thinking: Hey, all these new armor, bosses, and systems are nice… But you’re still playing Elden Ring,” they wrote, so “how could we take progression one step further? we took a close look at each class and gave each a specific progression path with unique starting locations”.
